Spirit Festival

The Spirit Festival is this Saturday, the 19th. There is a parade beginning at Sperring at 9:00a.m. If you and your child wish to participate in the parade, just park at Kennerly and catch the shuttle bus over to Sperring a few minutes before 9:00a.m. We walk all the way to the high school and then congregate in front of the grandstand. There is a ribbon cutting ceremony and then the festival is officially open. I am planning to walk in the parade, so see you on Saturday!

Teacher Appreciation Week

I have had the most amazing week! All the little things the kids brought me to let me know I was appreciated, were so much fun!! At first I had no idea it was Teacher Appreciation Week. So for the first couple of days I was a little confused. I asked almost every student who handed me something what it was for. Almost all of them said they didn't know, their mom had just told them to give it to me, Ha! Then someone told me about the email Mrs. Bright sent out. I appreciate all my wonderful students and parents as well. It has been a fantastic year!!

We miss you, Miss Mijatovic

We are all missing Miss Mijatovic. Thank goodness we had a surprise party for her on Friday! We all gave her cards and a "Hand Made" tote bag. We also had juice pops for a treat. Here's to Miss Mijatovic!

INFLATABLES!!!

Tomorrow (Thursday) we will be playing on the inflatables in P.E. Please make sure your student wears socks to school and Does NOT wear jewelry of any kind. Thanks! I just hate seeing those tears when they can't get their earrings out.

Miss Mijatovic is now a rap artist!

In celebration of the end of our money unit, we decided to perform a rap for the students. They all joined in on the chorus. We had a great time!

Ladybug Release

Well, today was the big day! This morning we took our ladybugs out to the Butterfly Garden and released them. A few of them hung around long enough for us to get a close look. Enjoy the pics!
