Greg and I are finally married! I don't have the wedding photos yet, but I have a few from our honeymoon at Lake Tahoe. It was amazing! Absolutely beautiful.
Hope you are all having a great summer! I'll be seeing you back at Kennerly very soon!

Fun in the backyard.

I hung a little tin bucket with birdseed in it from the holder. The little sparrows and finches just love it! |

This is my favorite photo to the left. I have so much fun watching them, I might have to bring it to school with me and put it on our classroom window!

Summer Fun
I will try to post a few things during the summer so the students can see what a teacher does with free time. (I'm hoping for a little anyway) If you are comfortable doing so, you may let your child post comments to my posts and tell me what they are up to as well.
This is me taking my first English riding lesson from my daughter Elyse. I loved the English saddle!
The horse's name is Twister.

This one is a video!

Parting is such sweet sorrow.
Wow! I have the most incredible job. Being able to have a front row seat in the life of a first grader is simply amazing. They have all blossomed so much this year, and I can bear witness to it all! I want to thank all of my parents for supporting your child through this very critical year of learning. Also, thank you for the gift card! What a truly wonderful idea. I see shopping on my honeymoon in my future!
Here are a few photos from our last day together. I will remember you always!!

Kids Who Care
The students in our class donated so many cans we were able to go on a parade up to the red tubs in the front hallway. Way to go Smileys!

Spirit Festival
The Spirit Festival is this Saturday, the 19th. There is a parade beginning at Sperring at 9:00a.m. If you and your child wish to participate in the parade, just park at Kennerly and catch the shuttle bus over to Sperring a few minutes before 9:00a.m. We walk all the way to the high school and then congregate in front of the grandstand. There is a ribbon cutting ceremony and then the festival is officially open. I am planning to walk in the parade, so see you on Saturday!
